Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones put major emphasis on relationships, and revealed one beloved couple’s family is growing. Sam Tarly and Gilly are expecting another baby, and they revealed the news to close friend Jon Snow in the sweetest way.
Jon Snow and Sam Tarly have been close friends since Jon first joined the Night’s Watch. After the couple revealed their name plans, Jon said he hoped they’d have a girl. Some fans question the legitimacy of Cersei’s pregnancy, and claim the news could be a ploy for respect and loyalty from her brother. Others believe she really is pregnant. The pregnancy seems to oppose a prophecy Cersei was given as a child, which said she’d have three children. Cersei previously raised three children but all have since died.
Other relationships flourished and fell during Episode 4. Jamie slept with, and seemingly formed a relationship with, Brianne of Tarth. Although he left her at Winterfell despite her pleas for him to stay. Arya Stark also received a proposal from Gendry, but somewhat expectedly, declined because she’s “not a lady.”
