SPM grads encouraged to take up skills studies

SPM graduates who did not manage to obtain a place at a public higher education institution (IPTA) are encouraged to continue their studies either at a polytechnic or a technical institution that offers studies in the field of skills.

Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Mohd Yusof Apdal, said skill areas are among the opportunities that can offer career opportunities after they complete their studies or courses taken.The marketability rate of graduates who follow Technical and Vocational Training Courses has increased, which is more than 90 per cent, based on the demand in the current job market.
