SAN ANTONIO - Spirit Airlines has announced a new route from San Antonio International Airport with nonstop service to Newark .
The low-cost carrier has announced yet another destination with nonstop service from San Antonio to Newark Liberty International Airport, one of the three major airports servicing New York City. Jesus Saenz, Director of Airports for the San Antonio Airport System , commented on how this new route will provide travelers with a new economy option to travel resulting in lower fares across the board.
“We’re happy for our travelers, who are finding great deals to travel to several popular destinations,” said Saenz. “Spirit sees that and is continuing to add more service. Everyone benefits.” Spirit has been rapidly growing at SAT, beginning to serve the airport less than a year ago in November of 2022, and now flies to 6 destinations across the United States.
