Spider-Boy is getting his own series, investigating why no-one remembers him. Writer Dan Slott says: 'Spider-Man isn't supposed to have a sidekick. That's just wrong on so many levels. And that is exactly why we are going to have so much fun with this.'
Spider-Boy, the new sidekick for Spider-Man who technically does not exist in Marvel lore, is finally getting his own series to tell his side of the story. Spider-Boy first made his comic book debut in Spider-Man #7 last year. Last week, he had his first solo adventure in Edge of Spider-Verse #3. Both stories focus on how young Bailey Briggs has full knowledge and understanding of all the events in the Marvel Universe, yet no one knows or remembers him.
Spider-Boy Leaps Onto Shelves, But Where Did He Come From? Spider-Boy's presence in the Marvel Universe is quite literally an anomaly. Not just in the context of his unprecedented sudden appearance, but as far as creator Dan Slott is concerned. When asked for comment by Marvel, Slott had this to say:
