TAWAU: The State Government has been urged to speed up the Sungai Tawau Flood Mitigation (RTB) project to address the district’s perennial flood issue which affects the lives of some 20,000 residents.

Kalabakan MP Datuk Andi Muhammad Suryady Bandy also urged the authorities to continue constructing the river banks as part of Phase Two of the Sungai Pasir Putih project. “I hope the Government can continue the flood mitigation project as soon as possible.
