(Reuters) - U.S. cryptocurrency stocks fell in premarket trading on Wednesday after Democratic candidate Kamala Harris put her Republican rival Donald Trump on the defensive in a combative presidential debate.

PETALING JAYA: The medical profession is facing tremendous challenges due to the public's increasing expectations and demands for not just high-quality healthcare but fast and efficient services.

The Association of Specialists in Private Medical Practice president Datuk Dr Balwant Singh Gendeh said they were constrained by an increased cost of practice as overheads soar, in addition to escalating medical practice premiums."We hope these constraints will not become a factor that induces some members of the medical profession to overlook their ethics and professionalism," he said in a statement on Wednesday .

His remarks came following recent investigations launched by the authorities against three doctors in Penang and 30 other suspects for making fraudulent disability claims to Socso. Dr Balwant, who is a fellow at the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, said the association and its members, representing some 4,000 specialists in the country, are committed to maintaining a high standard of ethics, professionalism, quality care and service excellence.

He also said association members would continue to uphold the good and noble name of the medical profession as doctors and specialists have always been highly regarded and trusted in society.JB workshop staff pepper sprayed, forced off the road and almost run over by customerFuel prices Sept 12-18: RON97, diesel in peninsula drop 15 sen
