KUALA LUMPUR: A special month-long police operation on motorcycles has reduced the number of related accidents by 10.1% from last year, says Bukit Aman .
Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the operation was conducted from Aug 12 to Sept 12."It is a reduction of 274 cases or 10.1% from 2,735 in the same period last year," he told a press conference after the department's monthly assembly on Tuesday ."A total of 321 fatal accidents were recorded this year. It is a reduction of 113 cases from 434 last year," he said.
