Special flight fares for varsity students soon, says Anthony Loke

THE government will announce special flight ticket prices for higher learning institution students soon, said Transport Minister Anthony Loke. He said the special prices apply to students from Sabah and Sarawak furthering their studies in the peninsula, as well as those from the peninsula studying in Sabah and Sarawak.
He said despite increasing the number of flights and aircraft capacity, flight providers still cannot meet high demand during the Raya season. “To go home to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri, only high-priced business class tickets are left… We will have a plan for students with a government subsidy,” he told a media conference after breaking fast with Prasarana Malaysia Bhd employees in Petaling Jaya today. – Bernama, April 12, 2023.
