With Tropical Storm Chedeng gone, the southwest monsoon will prevail in most parts of the country and bring rain, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Monday.
Weather specialist Obet Badrina said the storm blew out of the country Sunday night.However, the southwest monsoon will dump rain in Ilocos Region, Zambales and Bataan where flash floods or landslides are possible.
Metro Manila, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Abra, Benguet, the rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON , Occidental Mindoro and Northern Palawan including Calamian and Cuyo Islands will have overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated downpour or thunderstorms in the next 24 hours, Pagasa said.
