ILLEGAL GUN: A Mokena-area man is scheduled to appear at a Sept. 21 preliminary hearing on two gun-related charges, according to Will County sheriff’s police and circuit court records online. Brent J. Konieczny, 36, of the 12300 block of Warren Drive, is charged with illegally possessing a firearm, aggravated assault/using a deadly weapon and domestic battery, court records show. The charges stem from an Aug. 30 domestic argument, sheriff’s police said.
DUI CRASH: Jason Dean Goldie, 50, 20600 block of Acorn Ridge Drive, Frankfort Square, was transported to a hospital at about 11:30 p.m. Friday from the 20800 block of 78th Avenue, after slamming into a utility pole hard enough to crack it in half, Will County sheriff’s police said.
BATTERY: James Mares, 21, Joliet, was arrested and accused of battery Aug. 23 at Jewel-Osco, 3153 183rd St., after grabbing an individual by the shoulder and then by the neck before exchanging punches, police said.DUI CRASH: A Monee woman who caused an Aug. 22 head-on collision on Governors Highway is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 27 on charges of drunken driving, driving on the wrong side of the road and improper lane use, according to police and Will County circuit court records online.
CEMETERY THEFTS: A Sauk Village man accused of stealing hundreds of copper cemetery vases from a crematorium near Monee is scheduled to appear in Will County circuit court Sept. 7, according to court records online. Peter F. Dobrzeniecki, 36, 21700 block of Peterson Avenue, wants to reduce his $50,000 bond on a two-count felony theft charge, court records show.
