The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the South Point 400 and the first event in the series Round of 8 playoffs.
The green flag is set to fly and the 400-mile race to begin at 2:30 p.m. ETWilliam Byron leads the current NASCAR Cup Series standings with 4,041 points, followed by Martin Truex Jr. , Denny Hamlin , Kyle Larson and Chris Buescher . A.J. Allmendinger topped Byron and Kyle Busch to win last week’s Bank of America ROVAL 400 to help set the stage for Sunday’s South Point 400.
In terms of positioning for the South Point 400, the No. 20 car of Christopher Bell got the pole position on Row 1 next to Kyle Larson’s No. 5.
