REUTERS/Kim Hong-Ji SEOUL (Reuters) -Questions mounted on Tuesday concerning the crash of a Jeju Air jetliner as police worked to identify victims and families of those killed in the deadliest plane crash on South Korea n soil pressed authorities for more details.

The National Police Agency stated it is making every effort by deploying additional personnel and rapid DNA analysers to expedite the identification process. Five bodies remained unidentified as of Tuesday. Relatives gathered at the country's Muan International Airport, where the crash occurred, have demanded faster identification and more transparency from authorities. All 175 passengers and four out of the six crew members perished when a Jeju Air Boeing 737-800 belly-landed and skidded off the end of the runway, erupting in an inferno as it collided with a wall. Two crew members were rescued alive. South Korea's acting President Choi Sang-mok on Monday ordered an emergency safety inspection of the country's entire airline operation as investigators sought to determine the cause of the deadliest air disaster on South Korean soil. The Transportation Ministry reported that representatives from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Federal Aviation Administration, and aircraft manufacturer Boeing have joined the investigative team and plan to meet in Muan on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming schedule. The U.S. team led by the NTSB is present in South Korea providing support, board chair Jennifer Homendy stated in an interview. The NTSB announced in a statement that it dispatched three investigators, including specialists in operational factors and airworthiness, to South Korea to assist the investigation
