SEOUL: A South Korea n doctor is facing backlash for allegedly describing a patient’s fat tissue as “pig lard”.A patient who had been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism visited a local hospital after experiencing heart palpitations and shortness of breath.When reviewing the scan results, the patient was shocked to find the word “pig lard” in parentheses next to the term “ fat tissue ” on the medical report .
In response, she said: “Regardless of the circumstances, you don’t call someone’s fat pig lard.” The doctor then reportedly told her he was trying to help her understand.
