A high-ranking official of South Korea in the Philippines expressed his country’s willingness to help the Philippines develop its mining and manufacturing industries by advancing its energy generation capacity, the OVP said on Tuesday, July 25.
This happened as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Kim Jin-Pyo paid a courtesy call to Vice President Sara Duterte.
For her part, Duterte thanked the South Korean government for its help and commitment to help and support the energy sector in the Philippines “During the darkest hours during the Korean War, the Philippines sent over 7,400 young and brave soldiers to fight for our freedom and democracy,” the official stressed.The Philippines deployed five Battalion Combat Teams or the Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea under the United Nations Command from 1950 to 1953.
