South Africans are encouraged to take a healthier approach and to prepare their meals daily. 

Perks says they are often confronted with the notion that eating healthy is expensive because people often peg it on the use of expensive ingredients such as olive oil and avocado pears.

The awareness around nutrition comes in the wake of National Nutrition Week which is observed from tomorrow until next week Tuesday. This year’s theme is “Eat Right for a Better Life”.“National Nutrition Week is something that we celebrate nationally in SA and its always held in October, and it is generally around the first week of October and every year we have different elements of nutrition that we wish to highlight.
