KUALA LUMPUR: China says it is always ready to resume the search for fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho, popularly known as Jho Low. Chinese ambassador to Malaysia Bai Tian said the request for Beijing to track down Jho Low was made by the Malaysian government after last year’s polls. “I don’t know if Jho Low is in China. The Chinese police have been attaching good importance to the request.

“According to the information provided by the Malaysian side… have done a very thorough and detailed search, but sorry to say there’s no find,” he told members of the media at a roundtable meeting hosted by the Chinese embassy.US authorities have identified Jho Low as the culprit in the multi-billion 1MDB scandal.
