The Sony Xperia 1 VI now has an online launch event, happening on 15 May at 3PM. It previously only had signs of an offline launch.
Previously, the Sony Xperia 1 VI was believed to be launching on 17 May, owing to the event schedule being posted on the company's Japanese site with the aforementioned date. At the time, nothing else indicated that the launch will be streamed online as the company did for previous entries. This has changed over the weekend, as there is now an online stream for the launch scheduled for 15 May, at 3PM.
In addition to the launch itself, a teaser for the periscope camera of the Sony Xperia 1 VI has also been posted on the official Xperia YouTube channel. Said video shows a focal length range of between 85mm and 138mm, though there are claims online that the full range extends all the way up to 170mm, giving the equivalent to a 7x optical zoom.
