Sony's Kraven the Hunter movie sets up a forgotten Spider-Man villain besides The Rhino and Sergei Kravinoff himself (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson).
Sony's Kraven the Hunter movie is set to reveal the on-screen origins of Sergei Kravinoff, though the Spider-Man spin-off may feature another classic villain as well. Becoming the world's greatest hunter in the Marvel Universe, Kraven will show how Sergei gained his impressive skills as well as his new on-screen origins where he'll gain genuine powers, allowing him to tap into the essence of various animal creatures.

However, a lion attack during a hunt sees Nikolai leaving young Sergei to die. Instead, Kraven will gain powers, embarking on a mission of vengeance to unravel his father's criminal empire.
While Spider-Man likely won't be in the Kraven movie, it's worth noting that Chameleon was the one who originally put the Webslinger in Kraven's sights. In the original comics, many of Kraven’s battles with Spider-Man had ties to Chameleon in some way or another. Perhaps Dmitri will play a similar role by the end of Sony's first Kraven the Hunter movie.
Kraven's Brother Could Become The Next Sony Spider-Man Villain Based upon the trailer for Kraven the Hunter, it does look as though Dmitri holds very little love for Nikolai, much like Sergei himself. Mirroring the page, perhaps Kraven and Chameleon will work together, bringing their father and his organization down in the upcoming Marvel movie. It would certainly open the door for the duo to one day set their sights on Spider-Man.
