Sony Honda Mobility ditubuhkan, tempahan model EV pertama akan dibuka pada separuh pertama 2025
Sony Honda Mobility kini menjadi sebuah entiti yang sah dan baru ditubuhkan, berikutan pengumuman usaha sama itu yang diumumkan Jun tahun lalu. Ini dimeterai selepas dua konglomerat besar Jepun itu menandatangani MoU pada Mac untuk sama-sama membangunkan kenderaan bateri elektrik dengan nilai tambah yang tinggi untuk dikomersialkan.
Tempahan untuk produk pertama SHM juga akan dibuka sebelum 2025, diikuti dengan serahan pertama kepada pelanggan di Amerika Syarikat pada 2026. Serahan untuk pasaran Jepun pula akan dimulakan pada separuh kedua 2026. Produk pertama itu akan dikeluarkan dari kilang Honda di Amerika Utara. Pada Januari 2020, Sony menunjukkan kereta Vision-S di CES 2020, menampilkan penggunaan kamera, skrin, kemampuan pemanduan autonomous serta servis penstriman untuk katalog multimedia Sony dan boleh juga disambung dengan konsol permainan PlayStation.
