(Reuters) - Lazio winger Loum Tchaouna was substituted after being racially abused by fans during Thursday's 2-0 win at Dutch club Twente in the Europa League, the Italian club's coach Marco Baroni said.

Nay Soe Maung had used his Facebook account to “threaten peace and stability,” the junta’s information team said. - Reuters

The junta has cracked down on dissent since ending a decade-long experiment in democracy in 2021, with systematic censorship and surveillance of online speech. He was detained in second city Mandalay on Wednesday, the statement said, without mentioning which Facebook posts he was detained for.Earlier this month he had posted about the death of a prominent member of the dissolved National League for Democracy , whose leader Aung San Suu Kyi has been detained since the coup.
