Malaysian director Syafiq Yusof, known for directing over 20 films, describes his latest project, Soloz: Game of Life, as his most challenging film to date. Production involved extensive preparation, including animation, video research, and authorization from Mobile Legends developer Moonton. The film's unique genre, blending drama, competition, video game exploration, and animation, presented numerous hurdles. Despite the complexities, Syafiq hopes audiences will appreciate the film's message and the effort poured into its creation.
PETALING JAYA: Walaupun sudah mengarahkan lebih 20 buah filem, pengarah, Syafiq Yusof , menyifatkan pembikinan Soloz : Game of Life sebagai naskhah paling sukar dihasilkan.
“Filem ini merupakan genre yang sangat berisiko tinggi kerana di luar daripada gengster, rempit, polis atau cerita hantu.Tapi sesekali kita perlukan genre lain yang juga mengikut peredaran zaman. “Sebenarnya ini adalah filem paling susah saya bikin. Waktu buat Sheriff dahulu, saya rasa santai lagi,” katanya.
Dinobatkan sebagai pengarah filem terlaris Malaysia dua tahun berturut-turut, Syafiq bagaimanapun enggan meletakkan target kutipan untuk filem ini.“Niat saya biarlah orang tengok dan faham apa isi yang saya mahu sampaikan dalam filem ini. Nikmatilah titik peluh, kerja yang saya buat,” tambahnya.
