NBC News’ Social Newsgathering team has verified several of these social media posts, which appear to show what life is like in and around Wuhan as officials work to combat the spread of the illness.
One video, posted to Twitter on Jan. 23, appears to show a road closure on an expressway near Wuhan, China. Viewers can see workers in the video who appear to be wearing masks and hazard outfits. 这次封城正值中国最重要的春节假期,所以大批人的生活受影响。从前天开始,武汉市所有公务员已经停止休假和外出,投入到这次疫情控制中。现在人们出现恐慌是好事,有利于控制疫情传播,我相信它会在未来一个月逐步得到解决。
