PETALING JAYA: KTM Bhd has cleared the air about a viral video showing a packed train with passengers rubbing shoulders despite the need to practise social distancing amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Its corporate communications chief Ahmad Asri Khalbi said the incident happened on Tuesday around 6am on a train from Port Klang to Tanjung Malim.
“When that happened, passengers, the majority of whom were heading to work during the peak hours, thronged the three-car train, ” he said. “We acknowledge the oversight and are taking serious measures in crowd control, including having the auxiliary policeman at each station control and limit people in trains, ” he added.
