The second son has risen for Naperville North soccer, and Noah Radeke may eventually prove to be even better than the first.

Naperville North’s Noah Radeke calls out coverage during a nonconference game against Marmion in Aurora on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023.They played together two years ago, helping the Huskies reach a Class 3A supersectional. Cameron Radeke scored their only goal in a 2-1 loss to Morton, but Noah Radeke, a freshman at the time, impressed with his play off the bench.“Noah was fantastic as a freshman,” Naperville North coach Jim Konrad said.

The Huskies have won seven straight after losing to West Chicago in the season opener. Noah Radeke had an assist in that game and has scored in every game since. Marmion’s Mactzil Uriel Lopez, left, covers Naperville North’s Noah Radeke in front of the goal during a nonconference game in Aurora on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023.

Noah Radeke does so with gusto, but he’s not single-minded. He’s just as willing to pass, as evidenced by his team-leading assists total.
