LONDON (Reuters) - Tottenham Hotspur's players held a 'clear the air' meeting with chairman Daniel Levy after the 6-1 hammering at Newcastle United last weekend, according to striker Harry Kane.
The debacle at Newcastle, which more or less put paid to Tottenham's top-four hopes, resulted in the players reimbursing fans' costs for the trip to Tyneside.
"The chairman asked for a meeting," Kane, the club's record scorer said."Obviously I won't go into what was said but I think it was important to understand where the players' heads were at in that moment. Tottenham responded well to going 2-0 down at home to United with goals by Pedro Porro and Son Heung-min lifting the mood of gloom hanging over the north London club.
