Dangerous heat: SoCal will see more hot temps today, but what's in store for your 4th of July? The holiday heat wave forecast now on ABC7
Southern California's first heat wave of the summer continues for some parts of the region this weekend making for a hot 4th of July.
Places away from the coast will withstand the worst of the hot temperatures, with the deserts hitting triple digits. Los Angeles and Orange counties will still see some morning fog on Monday, but the region will be sunny in the afternoon. A high of 81 is on tap for 4th of July. The valleys and Inland Empire can expect to reach a high of 98 on Monday. Similar temperatures are on tap for Tuesday.Mountains Monday will reach a high of 88 amid sunshine. Temperatures will stay in the upper 80s on Tuesday.
Deserts will be very hot for the next several days, with temperatures getting above 100 degrees this weekend. A high of 108 is expected on Monday.
