PETALING JAYA: Beyond being an awards programme, the Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA) aims to foster a community of thought leaders, who will inspire people to scale their ideas into a sustainable reality.

Among its most recent engagements is SOBA Prestige, a specially curated event that was held to bring together SOBA alumni, partners and sponsors.

Sime Darby Motors Retail and Distribution Malaysia managing director Jeffrey Gan said that as one of the key players in the automotive industry, the company is privileged to be associated with SOBA. Aside from networking, the event was also aimed at the exchange of knowledge and experience in the business community, through a fireside chat on the topic “How You Can Defend Your Business in 2022”, which saw the participation of RHB SME Banking head Yip How Nang, Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia chief business officer Leong Weng Choong, Maxis SME head Kevin Lee and PKT Logistics Group chief marketing officer Kuan Eu Jin.

Lending a further touch of prestige to the event was the unveiling of the new Land Rover Defender by Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia managing director Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz.
