Kevin Ko, KIRO 7 NewsSNOQUALMIE PASS — Snoqualmie Pass saw its first snowfall of the season early Wednesday morning, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Four inches of snow were recorded at road levels on Snoqualmie Pass, according to WSDOT’s Summer Derrey. Early Wednesday morning, traction tires were advised and oversized vehicles were prohibited on Snoqualmie Pass. Most of the slush melted by noon, as all restrictions were lifted. “Things can change in a moment’s notice,” Derrey said. “Even as you’re driving up and over Snoqualmie Pass, there’s all these different climates you’ll be experiencing.”
Drivers should expect some delays due to lane closures and traffic revisions on I-90 between North Bend and Vantage. Several work zones are in place near Easton, according to Derrey.UPDATE: Eastbound I-90 is closed at North Bend due to a collision near Easton.
