Snohomish County power outages lead to school closures, delays

Several school districts in the county have either canceled school or will be operating on a two-hour delay Monday.

“I didn’t even know we were expecting wind at all. I was doing some work in the garage and then I heard things banging around and went outside and my tent canopy was snapped in half underneath my deck,” Blossfield said.The damage the storm caused is impacting not only families but schools, too.In the Arlington School District, both Arlington High School and Pioneer Elementary School are closed. All other schools will be on a two-hour delay. There will be no out-of-district transportation.

All other schools in this district will start two hours late. If that changes, staff and families will also be notified.
