Snatch theft ring busted in KL, three nabbed

KUALA LUMPUR: A snatch theft gang was busted with the arrests of three men.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari said the suspects aged between 19 and 21 were detained on July 5."We believe they are responsible for four cases in Kuala Lumpur and one in Shah Alam," he told a press conference at Sentul police headquarters on Friday ."The group's modus operandi is to target victims on motorcycles.

"One of the suspects would ride a motorcycle and approach a victim while another suspect, who is riding pillion, would snatch the victim's valuables.The gang had been active since January, he said.to our Premium Plan for an ad-free and unlimited reading experience!
