BANGKOK: The flooding in Northern Thailand has been the most severe in the past 80 years and impacted the economy by as much as 27 billion baht (US$800mil), the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) said on Monday (Sept 16).
PETALING JAYA: Slow-moving traffic has been reported on several major highways in the Peninsula as of 12.30pm Monday .
Northbound traffic was also slow on the stretch between Tangkak and Jasin in Melaka and between Sedenak and Simpang Renggam in Johor. Meanwhile, traffic heading south from Sungai Petani to Sungai Petani was also slow-moving, while congestion was also reported southbound from Bukit tambun to Bandar Cassia and from Gopeng to Tapah.ANIH Bhd, the concessionair for the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway and the East Coast Highway Phase 1 , also reported slow-moving traffic.
