A pothole in the middle of Jalan PJU 8/2 in Damansara Perdana , Petaling Jaya , has turned into a dangerous one-metre obstruction.Abdul Rahman Samsudin, who lives nearby, said Jalan PJU8/2 was a busy road and its closure was causing motorists and residents hardship.
“We are forced to use alternative roads since Petaling Jaya City Council closed the road three weeks ago. “A year ago, the pothole was quite small. However, due to wear and tear and constant road use, the pothole got bigger.“Over time, the hole has grown to about one metre in length,” said Abdul Rahman who has resided in the Damansara Perdana for four years.“I have seen contractors patching up the pothole on various occasions, but that did not help,” he said.“I think this issue has to be given serious attention because the road is in bad condition.“There are parking bays on both sides of the road.
When contacted, Petaling Jaya mayor Mohamad Zahri Samingon said he would get MBPJ engineers to attend to the issue.
