Six rogue cops nabbed for robbing money changer, hunt still on for ASP suspect

On Sunday , the complainant was approached by the suspects and three others, who identified themselves as policemen and officers from Bank Negara.

They raided the money changing outlet, citing that the complainant had no licence to operate his business.The suspects offered to"settle the case" for RM200,000, which the complainant paid after obtaining it from his house. He then paid the money to the suspects at a bus stop near Jalan Tun Perak here.

City police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim confirmed the case in a statement released Tuesday night."We are viewing this case seriously and would not compromise with any police officer or civilian involved in criminal activities.The case is being investigated under Section 395 and 170 of the Penal Code, for gang robbery, and for impersonating a public servant.
