PHNOM PENH: Oknha Srey Sina, 50, and two accomplices were sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on Wednesday (June 19) afternoon for questioning in connection with a shooting that killed a couple engaged to be married on June 17 at Borey Peng Huoth Boeung Snor in Nirouth commune of Phnom Penh’s Chbar Ampov district.
MAKKAH: Six more Malaysian pilgrims passed away in the Holy Land, bringing the total number of deaths so far to 14, says Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar.
"The Saudi Arabian hospital and TH staff have helped the next of kin of the deceased here and informed their next of kin in Malaysia. He said most of the cases involved respiratory problems such as lung infections due to the hot and dry weather. "Although there were a few shortcomings, but in general this haj journey was blessed with the help and commitment given by the pilgrims, causing the haj operation this time to run smoothly and well," he said.
"I was moved when some pilgrims involved in this companionship programme admitted that even their own children did not treat them as the haj officers did. So it is a sincere confession given by the pilgrims.
