: National women’s squash star S. Sivasangari’s dream of bringing home a gold medal from the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England was shattered when a car accident early Sunday morning landed her in hospital.

“Sivasangari was injured in the head and body, I’m going there to visit her, what we know now is Siva cannot play at the Commonwealth Games. I’m very sad and upset that this has happened. The operations commander from the Cyberjaya Fire and Rescue Station , Senior Fire Officer II Rosman Ab Rahman said they received an initial report involving a Proton Saga BLM car that was burnt 90 per cent after colliding with a one-tonne lorry and skidding and catching fire.
