PUTRAJAYA: There is no need for V. Sivakumar to go on leave following the arrests of several of his officers in connection with a case involving foreign worker recruitment, says Anthony Loke.
The DAP secretary-general said that the party is currently keeping tabs on the investigation conducted by the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission ."At this point in time, we are still observing developments. There has been no instruction from the Prime Minister for him to take leave," he told reporters at a press conference on Monday .
Sivakumar, who is Human Resources Minister, was called in by the MACC on Sunday to have his statement recorded. Three suspects have been arrested following MACC investigations, including two of Sivakumar's senior officers.
