A six-bedroom, 6,000-square-foot San Jose home that – oh yeah, also housed a meth lab and bomb-making operation – is selling for $1.5 million.
The Redfin listing even formally documents the fact that this home at 668 Potomac Court still contains an "inactive meth lab and meth contamination, see County docs."
In addition, remediation and "subsequent costs" are the responsibility of the new homeowner, the listing reads. On top of that, the home has not been cleared of any contamination and there is no access to the property before it's cleared by the Santa Clara County Health Department. The home is across the street from Gunderson High School and as the Zillow listing notes, it's got a "great location to the freeway."
Keller Williams Realty-Silicon Valley listing agent Cindy Selleos didn't immediately respond back for comment. Last week, the price of the home went up by $125,000. Kobeissi Letter first spotted the listing, noting sarcastically that this seems to be the "current state of the housing market."The website, which provides commentary on the global capital markets, notes other homes in the area are selling for $1.6 million – and they were not the site of a meth lab.
