The police squad tasked with halting Sydney’s gang war has arrested nine alleged bikies and organised criminals, including the sister of Comanchero boss Tarek Zahed, Asmahan “Azzie” Zahed.

Guns, cash and drugs have been seized in raids by the police squad set up to stem Sydney’s cocaine-fuelled gang war in raids that put nine people, including the sister of high-profile underworld figures, in handcuffs.

Azzie, 43, was charged with three counts of suspected stolen goods and a breach of bail. She was separately charged earlier this year when anti-bikie Raptor police allegedly found ammunition behind her fridge. Omar and Tarek Zahed. Omar was shot dead in an Auburn gym in 2022, Tarek is behind bars accused of murder.

Other arrests include a 51-year-old man charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm, a 22-year-old man with drug and stolen good charges, a 31-year-old man with drug and stolen goods and a 28-year-old woman on drug charges.“We will allege each of the nine people arrested yesterday were either members or associates of an outlaw motorcycle gang or organised criminal network,” Deputy Commissioner David Hudson said.
