Combine all of Cape Town's favourites this Sunday: nature, exercise and wine:
Three of Cape Town’s favourite things: nature, exercise and wine. This Sunday, experience the perfect combination. Sip back, relax and jog at Bloemendal’s wine tasting fun run.
Bloemendal Wine Estate is hosting the event for the tenth time this year, creating a pair of two unlikely activities – fitness and drinking. The “run” is really designed for people of all fitness levels, with participants allowed to walk, jog or run the 5km course. The athletes move between five different wine-tasting stations as they take in scenic views of the surrounding vineyard.
An adult ticket includes selected wine tasting at stations 1-4 and a branded take-home Bloemendal wine glass filled with Three Sixty Merlot Rosé at station 5. The kids have not been forgotten! Minor tickets will include ice lollies available at stations 1-4 and lollipops at station 5. Minors must be accompanied by an adult, although the route has steep inclines and may not be suited to children younger than 9 years old. The route is suitable for prams. The first group for the run takes off at 10am with a 30 minute break before the next group starts.
