Sinovac mungkin pilihan vaksin kanak-kanak 5 hingga 12 tahun
PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia akan meneruskan pemerolehan bagi vaksin Pfizer untuk diberikan kepada kanak-kanak berusia lima hingga 12 tahun.
Menteri Kesihatan, Khairy Jamaluddin di Twitter memaklumkan, selain Pfizer, kerajaan juga akan melihat kepada pilihan vaksin seperti Sinovac untuk pemberian kepada kumpulan tersebut. “Sebanyak 82.4 peratus daripada golongan remaja sudah menerima sekurang-kurangnya satu dos vaksin, manakala 62 peratus sudah lengkap divaksin.
“Justeru dengan syor Pentadbiran Makanan dan Ubat-ubatan berhubung suntikan Pfizer kepada kanak-kanak usia lima hingga 12 tahun, Malaysia akan meneruskan pemerolehan Pfizer untuk golongan tersebut.Terdahulu pada 26 Oktober lalu, jawatankuasa penasihat vaksin FDA mengesahkan vaksin Covid-19 Pfizer boleh digunakan untuk kanak-kanak berusia lima hingga 11 tahun.- UTUSAN
