A tragic six-vehicle crash in Ayer Keroh, Malaysia, claimed the lives of seven people, including a Singaporean woman and a two-year-old child. The accident, caused by a detached tire, involved a tour bus, an MPV, and several other vehicles.

A 66-year-old Singaporean, Lamrah Asid Ali, has been identified as the passenger on a tour bus who was killed in the tragic six-vehicle crash at KM204 of the northbound North-South Expressway in Ayer Keroh. Alor Gajah OCPD Supt Ashari Abu Samah said the female passenger died on the spot in the accident that claimed the lives of six other victims. Meanwhile, according to Bernama the police have also identified the seventh victim as Fauziah Jaafar, 69, who was one of the passengers in the MPV.

He stated that the tour bus driver, Noorisnien Khamid, 56, from Skudai, Johor, was also killed instantly during the 8.40pm accident near the Ayer Keroh Rest and Recreational area. The accident, caused by a detached tyre, also claimed the lives of five family members, including a two-year-old toddler. Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri AB Rauf Yusoh and Melaka health, human resources, and unity committee chairman Datuk Ngwe Hee visited the deceased family and the injured at the Alor Gajah hospital on Tuesday morning (Dec 24)
