Singapore to stop accepting Malaysian Collective Travel Document starting Jan 2021

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 5 — Singapore will cease to accept the Malaysian Collective Travel Document for entry by Malaysians into Singapore, effective from Jan 1, 2021. According to ICA, the MCTD is a travel document issued by the Immigration Department of Malaysia to groups of five to 20 Malaysian nationals, in lieu of passports.
“MCTD holders are also unable to use our automated lanes. As such, we will no longer accept the MCTD for immigration clearance at our checkpoints from Jan 1, 2021,” it said.
