SINGAPORE: Singapore's Ministry of Health (MOH) on Saturday (April 4) reported 75 new Covid-19 (coronavirus) cases, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 1,189. Earlier in the day, Singapore confirmed the sixth Covid-19 death, which involved an 88-year-old male Singapore permanent resident.
A tourist is seen hauling a luggage across the Causeway to enter Johor from Singapore. People are still trickling in from Singapore during the movement control order period. Malaysian working in Singapore who are returning may be required to quarantine at government facilities upon returning. Singapore has also announced that it would conduct a partial lockdown starting Tuesday .
Among the new cases, six are imported cases with recent travel history abroad and 69 are local cases who have no recent travel history abroad.Earlier in the day, Singapore confirmed the sixth Covid-19 death, which involved an 88-year-old male Singapore permanent resident who had a history of heart and kidney disease, cancer and diabetes.
The 43rd case is a 53-year-old female Macao resident who flew from Lisbon of Portugal to Hong Kong on Monday and arrived in Macao on Tuesday.
