A 76-year-old man in Singapore was sentenced to four weeks in jail and a fine for assaulting a friend with a bleach solution and vandalizing a stranger's gate with superglue.

A 76-year-old man in Singapore was jailed for four weeks and fined S$1,000 (US$734) after he splashed a mixture of bleach and water at his friend's face at a market. Lee Ah Cheng also admitted to applying superglue to the padlock of a stranger's gate, rendering it unusable. Court documents reveal Lee and his friend had a dispute at Yuhua Village Market and Food Centre on October 2, 2023, which escalated to Lee pouring the bleach-water mixture onto his friend's clothes and face.

The victim suffered chemical eye injuries and required medical attention. In a separate incident on July 10, 2024, Lee was angered by the mess in a common corridor area and sealed a resident's gate padlock with superglue
