There have been 43 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in Singapore. Three new people, who had not traveled through China, were diagnosed with the disease, asThe Air Show’s organizers have, and also introduced a no-contact greeting policy for show participants. “With 60% of the world’s population, the Asia-Pacific region is the largest commercial aviation market in the world. The region continues to demand more single- and twin-aisle airplanes for replacement and growth, along with commercial and defense services,” said Skip Boyce, president, Boeing Southeast Asia.
“In less than four weeks the number of weekly international seats operated from China has fallen by some 1.4 million seats since the week commencing the 20th January,” OAG analyst John Grant writes. “In comparative terms that reduction in capacity is more than all of the scheduled international capacity planned from France this week.”China’s three largest airlines have cut their international capacity by more than half a million seats a week, compared to four weeks ago.
