Simon Pegg shuts the door on Shaun of the Dead 2 hopes, telling fans it's the last thing they need. Released in 2004, the hilarious horror-comedy Shaun of the Dead marked the arrival of director Edgar Wright, while also making its lead actor Pegg a star. Wright and Pegg would later reunite for two more movies in the "Three Flavors Cornetto" trilogy: 2007’s Hot Fuzz and 2013’s The World’s End.

The last thing you need is Shaun of the Dead 2! It’s done. Move on!’” "I haven’t gone back to horror-comedy, because with Shaun Of The Dead I felt like I had said much of what I wanted to say with that movie. It’s difficult to return to that, even as a producer. Sometimes I get sent films – people want to make the next Shaun and want me to come aboard as a producer. But I find it difficult to cover the same territory again."
