Simon Easterby will step into Ireland supremo's Andy Farrell's shoes after the Autumn series at the Aviva Stadium that includes All Blacks showdown
Simon Easterby insists that his role won't change during Ireland's November series although he is stepping into the hot-seat on December 1.
But Easterby says that nothing will be altered within the coaching set-up for the four November Tests against New Zealand, Argentina, Australia and Fiji. This promotion, albeit on a temporary basis, means a lot to him. "It means a huge amount," he said. "It's great, I'm delighted, it's a real honour to have the opportunity to lead from next year's Six Nations and the summer tour next year.
"We've built a really strong group of players, the work the provinces have done, the continuity that we have brought to the national set-up has been clear in a lot of the performances over the last couple of seasons. And it's a really exciting time, and one that I'm really fortunate to have been part of. Hopefully that success will continue."
