GEORGE TOWN, 22 August — PATRIOTIC SPIRIT... Datuk Seri Salim Abdul Rahman, 54, together with the residents of Kampung Melayu Flats waved the Jalur Gemilang when decorating 3,000 pieces of the Jalur Gemilang around Jalan Kampung Melayu, Air Itam in conjunction with the National Day celebration on This August 31st.
He said the Jalur Gemilang is a symbol of Malaysia’s pride and all walks of life regardless of race and religion should fly the Malaysian flag proudly on National Day. A visitor to Kampung Melayu here, Lim Siew Eng, 55, expressed excitement seeing the lively atmosphere and the brilliant decorations ahead of the National Day celebration in this village.
