SIBU: The Sibu Tower Run 2020, which is scheduled for March 8, will proceed despite the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak.

Organising chairman Mohd Izkandar Dato Rosely confirmed this at a press conference on Friday and added that preventive measures will be taken to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants.

It will take place at 6am on March 8 at the 28-storey Wisma Sanyan, which is currently the tallest building in the state. On the target of achieving 1,000 participants, he said in the wake of the outbreak that"we are not pushing for it anymore but will accept as many as we can."They are from Sarawak , West Malaysia , Philippines and one each from Singapore and the United Kingdom.
