(Reuters) - Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger's removal has put an abrupt end to his role in the struggling chipmaker's turnaround efforts, leaving Wall Street with doubts whether his ambitious revival plan is headed for the chopping block.
Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Zulkipli Suhaili said the victim in his 30s started communicating with a woman known as Lau Sze Ya through Facebook Messenger on Nov 27.
The victim was enticed by a job offer involving the purchase of goods, with promises of a commission after completing a few simple tasks. He was directed to a YouTube link and asked to click the"like" button and share the link regarding the products being sold. "After completing the first task, the victim received a commission of RM190, which increased his trust in the offer. However, during the next task, he did not receive any commission payment and was instead instructed to make payments into an account provided by the suspect to redeem the unpaid commission," he said.
On Dec 1 and 2, the victim made seven money transfer transactions totalling RM43,351 to two different local accounts.
